Stress- breaking it down

99% of all  health problems and diseases are caused by stress.

What stresses are we talking about?  How do we deal with them?

An enlightening and entertaining overview with Dr Ron, as he  takes you through a model for health and wellness, that he has been using in his practice for over 25 years. It's a holistic approach to stress from a unique oral health perspective.

Dr Ron's healthcare approach goes  beyond the "disease management system" we seem to all be part of.

Take control of your health & wellness.

Dr Ron will walk you through the 5 stresses that compromise our immune system, digestion and every system in our body and affects our mental and physical health and wellness. These include:

  • Emotional stress - thoughts are things. In fact, apart form words ( depression, stress, anxiety) they are chemicals produced in the body ( neurotransmitters) which attach to cell membranes ( the true brain of the cell) and cause genes to express themselves in a particular way. Its called epigenetics, the new science of how nurture effects nature). We are not victims of our genes. Explore the biology of belief with Dr Ron and see emotions  affect our health.
  • Environmental stress - each day we are exposed to hundreds of chemical in our home, work, food and personal healthcare/skincare products. We assume they have been tried, tested and are safe, but are they? Has the "precautionary principle" been exercised in our best health interests or in the interests of industry?
  • Structural/Postural stress - sleeping on your stomach can cause headaches, neck aches, jaw and breathing problems. Leg length differences and unstable foot structure can contribute to chronic pain. What is the best way to exercise? Dr Ron opens your eyes to postural stress as you've never thought of it.the position in which we sleep ( stomach/side/back), our posture and how we move ( or don't move) our bodies.
  • Nutritional stress - the food pyramid of the last 30 years has told us to eat grains and low fat. Its a great model for the industry, food companies and media, but is it good for our health? Food has the potential to affect our physical and emotional wellbeing.  Dr Ron takes you through food and health as evolution intended.
  • Dental/oral stress - oral health links to general health and wellness is often overlooked by medicine and dentistry. Its the "black hole" or "missing link" in many health problems. The mouth is the first part of both the digestive system and the respiratory system. Chronic inflammation or infections in the mouth can also easily be overlooked and yet impact thoughtout the body. Dentist's implant more material into people's bodies than all other profession put together. Those materials can be toxic. The mouth is an open book. Dr Ron show you how to rad it for health and wellness.
